Virginia Vasquez

Virginia H. Vasquez 88 of Balmorhea, passed away Thursday November 7, 2019 at the Focus Care Nursing Home in Pecos. She was born

Visitation will be held on Saturday November 9, 2019 from 9:00 am-9:00 pm at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel. A prayer service will be held at 6:00 PM an Saturday Nov.9, 2019 at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be held on Sunday November 10, 2019 from 1:00 pm-9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:30 pm at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel.

Mass will be celebrated 10:00 am on Monday November 11, 2019 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Balmorhea. Burial will follow at Balmorhea cemetery.

Virginia Hernandez Vasquez was born in Balmorhea to the late Maximo and Timotea Hernandez on June 8, 1931. She married Onesimo B. Vasquez and was a longtime housewife.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Onesimo, her brothers, Agustin, Marcelo, Adan and Alberto Hernandez, her sisters, Eva Hernandez and Alicia Hernandez Galindo.

Virginia is survived by her brother Luis Hernandez and wife Maria Luisa, sisters, Mariana Minjarez and husband Adan, Cirila Lira, and Cruz Pacheco and husband Felix.

Sons, Agustin Vasquez and wife Nancy, of Odessa, Rogelio Vasquez and wife Chela, of Ft. Stockton, Daniel Vasquez and wife Nellie, Arnulfo Vasquez and wife Lupe, Benito Vasquez and wife Jessica, all of Balmorhea and Feliciano Vasquez and wife Virginia of Spring Branch, Texas. Daughters, Sylvia V. Mendoza and husband Ismael, of Pecos, Elida Mendoza and husband Guadalupe, of Balmorhea and Dora Corrales and husband Duane, of Van Horn. 34 grandchildren, 74 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
