William E. Upchurch, 65, passed away on March 5, 2025 after a life dedicated to service and family. Born on February 12, 1960, William was a beloved father, dedicated public servant, animal lover and a cherished friend to many.
William proudly served his community in law enforcement, beginning his career as a deputy in Presidio County and later as a federal agent with the Department of Homeland Security. His unwavering commitment was evident throughout his long and distinguished career.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Terry Upchurch, who he loved dearly. He is survived by his sons Mitchell Upchurch and wife Kristen. Brandon Upchurch and wife Kelby and grandson Wyatt, and Pal and Outlaw (his favorite dogs) who were all the pride of his life.
In addition to his service, William will be remembered for his kindness, his strong work ethic, and deep love he had for his family. He was a man of integrity, always putting others first, and his legacy will live on through the many loves he touched.
A celebration of life will be held at Pecos Funeral Home, on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 10:00 am with a service to honor his memory. The family kindly requests that donations be made to Grand Companions, in lieu of flowers, in honor of William.
He will be greatly missed but never forgotten. May he rest in peace.
